This electronic publication contains the papers presented at AT4DL 2009 (Workshop on Advanced Technologies for Digital Libraries 2009 ) held on the 8th September in Trento (Italy) as a satellite event of ICSD (the International Conference on Semantic web and Digital libraries). The aim of the workshop was to bring together stakeholders from the digital library community in order to present an overview of state-of-the-art systems in the field and identify open research problems that require further work.
